Shoho – Hakuro- Time of new cool breeze -

In the days of the late summer heat,
you may realise the buzz of cicadas are becoming weaker in a little while you are away from daily matters.
It was just a noise before, but when you look around after that,
you also notice the greens of trees, which were choking one time, are also getting calm.
They are now preparing for the change of season.
You will see the breeze is not the same as the middle of summer, when you stand under those trees.
Time is now to feel the new cool breeze.

From the day of autumn breeze, not a day passes, Withoutstanding on the riverside of milky way - Kokinshu

Not a day passes without waiting for you since the day autumn wind blows

From this poem, we find the season of Tanabata (the star festival of Japan) is in autumn.
7 July in the old lunar calendar is in the middle of between the first day of autumn and the beginning of bearable hot weather.
(This year, 7 July is 28 August of the solar calendar.)
On the day, we hope the sky is clear and try to look for Altair and Vega on the milky way.
We had a leap month in may so those 2 stars have been waiting for the day they finally meet.

After the season moves from the beginning of bearable hot weather to White dews (around 8 September), autumn is in the air.
In Osaka, we hear Danjiri festival music then it is the time to the season of Parthenope.
We will prepare the remains of summer, such as pike conger and sweetfish, and new autumn taste.
Please enjoy the time of new autumn.
