Shunbun-Seimei- Spring morning -

In morning, sun streaming through the window becomes soft and mild, just like the one of the spring, and also it becomes brighter.
From the window, I can also see swelling buds waiting for bursting on the branches of cherry blossoms.

After Shunbun day (Vernal equinox day), we hear the news of cherry blossom front moving northward.
There are many cherry blossom viewing places in Osaka, where Kahiwaya is.
Cherry blossoms start to bloom in Kema-Sakuranomiya park (Osaka city), Osaka castle park (Osaka city) and
Expo’70 Commemorative Park around end of March.
You can see them here and there in city around beginning of April.
And the best blossoms of all in Osaka, is “Sakura no torinuke” (making pathways lined with cherry trees open to the public)
of the Osaka Mint Bureau around the middle of April.

It is a breathtaking view where 350 cherry blossom trees including 130 types of cherry blossom in full bloom,
running for around 560 meters from the south gate (Tenmabashi side) to the north gate (Sakuranomiyabashi side),
stretching out along the Kyu-Yodo river on the premises of the Osaka Mint Bureau.
There is a temple called Katsuo-ji in Minoh city on the north side of Suita city, where Kashiwaya locates.
This temple is located in the place at a high altitude of mountain,
so that you can enjoy cherry blossoms even after the peak in the city is over.
Please enjoy beautiful spring in Osaka.

In Kashiwaya, we prepare cuisine which you can enjoy spring fully.
Bamboo shoots from Nagaoka become more and more delicious.
Among them, the ones of Kobayashi san who is a master of bambooshooot-digging start to arrive.
There are also other ingredients of spring docorate your table, such as sea bream, mirugai-clam, Ise lobster and firefly squid.
