Geshi-Shousho- Around Summer Solstice -

It finally has come close to midsummer.
In Japan, the rainy season, called Tsuyu(梅雨), has begun around summer solstice.
Only in this season, we can enjoy the vivid scenery with moistness and soft sunlight under the thick cloud.
Osaka is the center of commerce since a long time ago and a lot of canals was built to transport supplies.
In one of them, there is Dotonbori(道頓堀) which still remains what it was like.
In addition, Osaka used to have so many canals that it would called “the watercapital.”
We would like to recommend the cruising of Osaka Suijo Bus, “Aqua LinerOsaka Castle and Nakanoshima Cruise.”
In this cruising, you can spend your time relaxing with the beautiful scenery of Nakanoshima(中之島)from the river.
A sight of “Osaka city central public hall” is worth totry to visit.
In this Tsuyu season, there is an unforgettable thing in Osaka.
“Hamo(鱧),” pike conger.
Now is the best season for Hamo as it is generally said that “Hamo drinks drops of Tsuyu in order to make themselves delicious.”
In Kashiwaya, we prepare specialities cooked with “Hamo.”
Please enjoy eating Kashiwaya’s “Hamo” dishes with distinctive flavor.

There was huge earthquake in Osaka, on 18 June, 2018.

Our restaurant is open as usual.
